Discover Namoroka Tsingy National Park:

A Fragile and Untouched Ecosystem

Namoroka Tsingy National Park is one of Madagascar’s most unexplored and delicate ecosystems, rich in biodiversity yet largely uncharted. At Namoroka Tsingy Camp, we collaborate closely with Wildlife Madagascar, a dedicated organization committed to preserving and studying this unique region.

Our Conservation and Research Efforts

Wildlife Madagascar is based at our camp, where they focus on:

  • Researching and uncovering new species native to Namoroka.
  • Reconnecting forest corridors to support the park’s ecosystem.
  • Protecting the fragile environment to ensure its survival for future generations.
  • Through year-round student-led research, remarkable discoveries have already been made, including species that only appear during the wet season.

Our Programs

Rediscovering the Namoroka Leafy Chameleon

One of the most exciting recent breakthroughs is the rediscovery of the Namoroka Leafy Chameleon, a species first documented in 1980. Until now, we only had illustrations of this elusive creature. Thanks to recent efforts, we’ve captured the first-ever photographs of this fascinating chameleon.

The Journey Has Just Begun

Our current research has merely scratched the surface of what Namoroka Tsingy National Park has to offer. We’re thrilled about the potential discoveries that lie ahead as we continue to explore and protect this extraordinary ecosystem.

Join us in our mission to preserve Namoroka—where science meets adventure!

Plastic Free

Plastic pollution is a significant environmental issue in Madagascar, largely due to the reliance on plastic bottled water driven by the country’s poor drinking water quality. To help address this, Madagascar Classic Collection provides guests with reusable water bottles, which can be refilled from large water containers or filtered sources available at many hotels and lodges. Mandrare River Camp  offers filtered osmosis water for guests and staff.
