Location

Manafiafy Forest Lodge is located near the coastal village of Manafiafy (Sainte Luce) in south-eastern Madagascar, approximately one hour from the regional capital of Fort Dauphin. The area is known for its beautiful sandy bays, offshore islets, mangrove systems and rare coastal rainforest — one of the last remaining habitats of its kind in southern Madagascar.

How to get there?

Guests can reach the lodge with a couple of convenient travel options:

Schedule Charter Flights
Scheduled charter flights operate twice weekly from Antananarivo via Mandrare River Lodge to Fort Dauphin, followed by a 1hour 15 min transfer to the lodge.

Commercial Flights & Road Transfers
Daily flights from Antananarivo to Fort Dauphin are available with Madagascar Airlines, followed by a scenic 1 hour 15 minute transfer to the lodge along the base of the ancient Anosy Mountains.

Manafiafy Forest lodge combines well with Mandrare River Camp, and for guests staying at both camps, a complimentary road transfer will be arranged between the camps. (duration of road transfer approx. 3 hours, but it can also be combined with the Lac Anony Lake activity which will make it a fun and adventurous day including a picnic style lunch).
